Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark wins this WNBA honor for first time in her career
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark added another accolade to her impressive rookie season.
On Tuesday the league announced Clark was named the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week during the Aug. 12-25 portion of the regular season schedule. Clark has already been named the WNBA Rookie of the Month (May and July) this season as well.
Coming out of the Olympic break, Clark ranked third among all players in the WNBA for scoring with 25.9 points per game, along with 9.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds. Last week Clark became the Fever's rookie leader in made 3-point field goals with 81. She also passed Ticha Penicheiro’s record of 224 assists to become the WNBA all-time rookie leader.

Clark joined Aliyah Boston and Tamika Catchings as the only players in franchise history to score at least 500 points in a rookie season.
In Indiana's first game back from the break, Clark scored 29 points, dished out a game-high 10 assists and grabbed five rebounds against the Phoenix Mercury. It was her 10th double-double of the season.
Against the Minnesota Lynx, Clark put up 23 points, eight assists and five rebounds. It marked her 11th game of the season recording at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists. In six of her past seven games, Clark has recorded at least 20 points and six assists.
Clark leads the league in assists with 8.3 per game. She also leads all rookies in scoring with 17.9 points, 1.4 steals, 169 field goals made, 116 free throws made and 35.3 minutes per contest.
Boston is the only other member of the Fever to be named Eastern Conference Player of the Week this season.
