Indiana's leading scorer Malik Reneau injured in first half against Iowa

BLOOMINGTON — Indiana basketball forward Malik Reneau suffered a right foot injury in the opening minutes of Tuesday night's game against Iowa.

He was helped off the court by the team's trainers and evaluated in the locker room area. When he came back to the bench area a few minutes later, he walked with a heavy limp and looked visibly upset. Reneau went back to the locker room area after Indiana assistant Tim Garl gave him a pair of crutches.

Reneau, who came into the game averaging a team-high 16.7 points per game (57.8%) and 6.2 rebounds, didn't come back out from the locker room the rest of the night.

Indiana coach Mike Woodson didn't have any update on Reneau's status after the game.

The Hoosiers snapped a three-game losing streak with a 74-68 win over Iowa. Anthony Walker played 26 minutes in Ware's absence and started in the second half, but Woodson went to a smaller three-guard lineup in the second half with Anthony Leal getting extended minutes.
