Indiana basketball coach Mike Woodson thanks 'true fans,' says he's 'not going anywhere'
Indiana basketball coach Mike Woodson thanked a lot of people during senior day ceremonies. He emphasized one group.
"Our true fans, true fans."
And ...
"I'll say that again: Our true fans."
Woodson has received a lot of heat in recent weeks as the Hoosiers appear to have fallen out of NCAA tournament contention. He will be back for a fourth season.
The Hoosiers are in the best stretch of the season heading into the Big Ten tournament. They edged Michigan State 65-64 on Sunday, to earn their fourth straight win, their first such stretch since early December.

"And I am the coach here," he said as he concluded his remarks. "Understand that. I'm not going anywhere."
"So much respect because the true fans understand. All that other shit, they don't understand."
IU senior Anthony Leal, in announcing he will return next season, said fans "gotta chill" in backing Woodson. "There's no coach in the country I would trust with anything more than coach Woodson."
