Fresh off a big win over Syracuse on Saturday, North Carolina head coach Hubert Davis was back on the recruiting trail. And he was watching a very important five-star recruit.

Davis was among the coaches at the Hoophall Classic event in Springfield which features some of the top talent in the country. That included five-star power forward Koa Peat.

Per Joe Tipton of On3, Davis was in attendance just hours after the big win and was watching Peat. That’s significant because Peat recently cut his list of offers down to a final 10 and included the Tar Heels on that list:

North Carolina is starting to prioritize recruits in the 2025 class as they have yet to receive a commitment. Fresh off a big class in 2024, they are hoping to build on that moving forward and landing a talent like Peat would be huge.

And Saturday’s visit shows just how much they are prioritizing the prospect out of Arizona.
