'Homecoming': Ohio State women's basketball adds Michigan State transfer Taiyier Parks

Ohio State women's basketball added another piece from the transfer portal Thursday.

Michigan State forward Taiyier Parks has shared that she is transferring to Ohio State for her final season of eligibility. Previously, former Duke guard and ACC Defensive Player of the Year Celeste Taylor joined the program, a move she announced in April.

Parks, a Cleveland native, posted the news on her Instagram page with the caption "Homecoming."

In four seasons at Michigan State, Parks, a 6-foot-3 forward, mostly came off the bench, averaging 7.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 17.2 minutes per game, shooting 50.8% from the floor and 48.4% from the free-throw line.

In 29 games for the Spartans in 2022-23, Parks averaged 8.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, shooting a career-high 57.5% from the field.
