High school sophomore throws football over 75 yards
DJ Uiagalelei, a sophomore at St. John Bosco High School, wowed the crowd at the QB Collective Camp in Westlake Village, California on Wednesday when he threw a spiral from the 35 yard line to the opposite end of the field. Uiagalelei’s throw, which hit the goalpost, propelled him to first place in the longest ball throwing competition at the QB Collective. Campers and coaches present estimated that the ball traveled a total of at least 85 yards.

The throw, while monumental, is not unprecedented for the 6’5 245-pound athlete. At the University of Arizona on July 2, Uiagalelei launched an almost equally powerful throw that traveled 75 yards.
