Here's where Mississippi State football prospects are projected to land in 2024 NFL Draft

It’ll be a quiet start to next week's NFL Draft for Mississippi State football compared to recent years.

There won’t be an MSU player taken in the top 10 like offensive tackle Charles Cross in 2022. There won’t be a top 15 pick like cornerback Emmanuel Forbes last year. There’s a chance Mississippi State doesn’t see a player selected until the third and final day in Detroit.

However, there’s still a likelihood that multiple former Bulldogs will hear their name called – at least that’s what various mock drafts suggest.

Mississippi State had four players invited to the NFL Scouting Combine: wide receiver Lideatrick Griffin, defensive lineman Jaden Crumedy, linebacker Nathaniel Watson and cornerback Decamerion Richardson.

Here’s a look at where Mississippi State’s prospects are projected to land.

CBS Sports mock draft

Chris Trapasso has two Mississippi State players getting selected in his seven-round mock draft for CBS. He projects Richardson to get drafted by the Seahawks early in the fourth round, reuniting him with former teammates Cameron Young and Cross.

In the final round, Trapasso has Crumedy going to the 49ers with the 251st overall pick.

ESPN mock draft

Matt Miller’s mock draft for ESPN has Watson and Richardson going in the sixth round. Watson is projected to go to the Browns while Richardson would go to the Dolphins.

Watson led the SEC in tackles and sacks last season. He’d be the first MSU linebacker drafted since Brian Cole II and Willie Gay Jr. were taken in 2020.

Sporting News mock draft

Vinnie Iyer has all four of MSU’s prospects who attended the combine getting drafted.

He has Richardson going to the Bills in the fifth round. In the sixth round, Iyer projects Crumedy to the Chargers, Watson to the Bills and Griffin to the Cowboys.

Griffin would be the first Mississippi State receiver drafted since Eric Moulds in 1996.
