Here's where Clemson stands in latest college football bowl projections after Week 11
CLEMSON — Clemson football is on track to play in a non-CFP bowl game for the fourth consecutive season.
The No. 16 Tigers (7-2, 6-1 ACC) had expectations to make the expanded playoffs, but their 33-21 home loss to No. 24 Louisville on Nov. 2 derailed those hopes. They still have a slim chance at an at-large bid for the CFP and the ACC championship for an automatic bid, but they need to win out and receive help from others.
As a result, Clemson's season likely will end in one of the 10 ACC bowl games. It made the CFP for six consecutive seasons (2015-20), but since then has played in the Cheez-It Bowl (2021), Orange Bowl (2022) and Gator Bowl (2023). With its 2024 record, it will likely play in the DirecTV Holiday Bowl (Dec. 27, San Diego) or Pop-Tarts Bowl (Dec. 28, Orlando, Florida) if it misses the College Football Playoff.
