Hello again: Georgia football wide receiver Dominic Lovett scores TD against former team
Dominic Lovett left one SEC East team for another this offseason.
The former Missouri wide receiver found the end zone against his former teammates Saturday to put No. 2 Georgia football ahead of the No. 12 Tigers with an early second quarter touchdown.
It came after Missouri star Luther Burden had put the Tigers ahead.

On a third-and-goal, Carson Beck hit Lovett on a screen pass and the Belleville Ill. native raced six yards for the touchdown. Georgia went ahead 10-7 with 13:38 to go in the first half.
Coach Kirby Smart said Lovett wasn’t extra jacked up to face his old team.
“He's fired up for every game,” Smart said. “I mean Dom's a great kid. What a quality young man he is. He works really hard. He's busted his butt since he's been here, been very humble and bought into what we've asked him to do in being selfless. He's tried to improve his game as a blocker. That's one of the things he had to work on.”
Lovett led Missouri with 56 catches for 846 yards and 3 touchdowns last season.
Lovett entered the day second on Georgia with 35 catches for 365 yards and one touchdown. His second touchdown came against the team he played the last two seasons with in Columbia.
“As much as it is a story for you guys, it's not for him,” Smart said. “It's the next opponent.”
