Hear from Florida State football coach Mike Norvell, others at Dunlap Football Center ceremony
Florida State has officially broken ground on its new standalone football operations facility, the Albert J. and Judith A. Dunlap Football Center.
President Richard McCullough, athletic director Michael Alford, football coach Mike Norvell, associate athletic director Rob Wilson, and Seminole Boosters CEO Stephen Ponder and senior vice president of development for Central Florida, Eric Carr, addressed invited guests at the ceremony Saturday.
Carr spoke on behalf of Judy Dunlap, who attended the ceremony with several family members. He announced that the Dunlap family contributed $20 million to the project. Their lifetime contributions to FSU's athletic department now exceeds $40 million, he said.

Alford said the construction of the 150,000-square-foot facility, which will cost approximately $100 million, is expected to be completed in 18-24 months.
