Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane performs coin toss at Memphis football game vs. Navy
As the city debates funding for FedExForum and Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, the University of Memphis and the Memphis Grizzlies joined together for the Tigers' AAC football opener.
Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane performed the coin toss before Memphis' game against Navy on Thursday night. Navy won the toss.
Bane has developed a relationship with coach Ryan Silverfield since being drafted by the Grizzlies in 2020. He's been featured in recruiting videos and attended several games and practices in the past.

The former TCU standout signed a max-contract extension this summer and will be a key part of the Grizzlies going forward. He averaged 21.5 points per game last season.
Memphis (2-0) is looking to start off conference play with a win against the Midshipmen (1-1).
