San Francisco Giants CEO Larry Baer was involved in an altercation with his wife in which he knocked her out of a chair and to the ground. The altercation was captured on video by someone at the scene and acquired by TMZ.

In the video, Baer can be seen trying to take an item away from his wife, who is seated in a chair. As he grabs for the item, which TMZ identified as a cell phone, Baer pulls his wife to the ground. As that is happening, Baer’s wife, Pamela, can be heard screaming, “oh my god, no.”

The video picks up later with the two separated. Larry Baer can be heard saying, “stop, Pam, stop.”

TMZ also posted the footage of the altercation on YouTube. Be warned, the video contains disturbing content. It can be viewed here.

Baer confirmed he and his wife got into a public argument Friday, but said she fell out of the chair due to an injured foot.

The Giants also released a joint statement from Pam and Larry Baer.

Baer would release a follow up statement hours later.

Pam Baer has also released a separate statement through her attorney.

Major League Baseball released a statement saying it was aware of the incident and would gather facts before commenting further.

While police were not contacted initially, they showed up at the scene later to speak with witnesses, according to Sernoffsky.

Bear has been with the Giants since 1980. After starting out as the team’s marketing director, Baer worked his way up through the organization to become the team’s CEO in 2011.
