Giants' Andrew Thomas undergoes foot surgery, expected to miss remainder of season: report

Andrew Thomas has been one of the Giants’ best offensive players over the past few years, but his 2024 season is likely over.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Thomas underwent foot surgery in Charlotte on Wednesday morning to repair a Lisfranc injury in his foot, and he is expected to be out for the season.

The 25-year-old played all 79 offensive snaps for the Giants on Sunday night against the Cincinnati Bengals, and he had played every single offensive snap this season.

But Thomas was seen limping during the Giants’ lone touchdown drive on Sunday night, and said after the game that even after going through X-rays, he still wasn’t sure what the issue was.

“Something’s sore, I don’t know exactly what it is,” Thomas said after the game, noting that further imaging was needed to know “exactly what’s going on.”

Obviously, losing Thomas is a huge blow to a Giants team that has started the season 2-4 and faces a divisional foe in the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend.
