Georgia media excited after adding 4-star DB commit Rasean Dinkins
The Georgia Bulldogs have flipped four-star safety recruit Rasean Dinkins from the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Dinkins had been committed to Georgia Tech since June 2024. He plays high school football for Warner Robins High School in Warner Robins, Georgia. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound safety prospect is a member of the class of 2025.
Dinkins was one of Georgia Tech's top commitments. Georgia Tech's loss is Georgia's gain and Georgia football fans are loving it.
Dinkins is Georgia's 24th commitment in the class of 2025. UGA has the No. 3 recruiting class in the country a month ahead of early signing day.
The flip drew big reactions from fans and media for the Bulldogs' new commitment.
"I'm going to be surprised if we aren't talking about this guy in the same breath as Javon Bullard, Tykee Smith, Chris Smith, etc. by the time he leaves Athens, " said Jake Rowe of On3.
"Went to go see Dinkins play plain and simple he is a ball player," said Benjamin Wolk of 247Sports.
"Shane Sams (Dinkins' high school coach) knows where to go when he needs a play," said Jed May of Rivals.
"Don't let his mere ranking as a low four-star prospect fool or mislead his worth for a nanosecond here, " said Georgia media member Jeff Sentell.
It is safe to say that this commitment is not flying under the radar for the potential impact Dinkins can bring for the UGA football program.
