Georgia football QB Carson Beck on new Lamborghini: 'It’s just a car at the end of the day'
Carson Beck is back for his second season as Georgia football's starting quarterback and first year with a new, flashy ride.
It created quite a stir this offseason in case you didn’t hear about it.
Driving a Lamborghini Urus Performante will do that. Its starting price for the 2023 version is $260,676 and up to $313,880 with extra options.

Beck, whose decision to return for his fifth college season brought in NIL riches, can apparently afford it.
“I’ve always been a car guy … since I was a kid,” Beck said Tuesday. “I grew up always loving cars. My dream car when I was super, super young, was always a Mustang. I’ve never actually had a Mustang, but I kind of grew out of it when I was 14 or 15.”
Beck posted on Instagram images of him getting the Lamborghini.
“Being able to associate myself with that brand such a large brand name, being able to get that car, obviously it’s a blessing,” Beck said.
Beck also posted on Instagram flying on a private jet during spring break. It’s unclear if he has an NIL deal for that.
As for his love of cars, Beck said, “It’s the engine. There’s just something about pulling out of the driveway, hearing just a well-built engine, the exhaust. I don’t know how to explain it. It just puts a smile on my face.”
Beck said the social media reaction to his new car “is not a big deal at all in my opinion. I love cars. I bought a car. That’s really all it is. A lot of people are going to look at it and say what a terrible decision, what a terrible choice with his money, but it’s just a car at the end of the day. It’s not too big of a deal. I just drive it around.”
Georgia pass rusher Mykel Williams seemed unfazed by Beck’s splurge.
“We were happy for him,” he said. “He deserves it. He’s worked for everything he gets. He's one of the top quarterbacks in the country.”
