FSU womens basketball's Ta’Niya Latson and Makayla Timpson named to preseason All-ACC team

The Atlantic Coast Conference announced its 2024-25 Preseason All-ACC Team on Tuesday. Florida State women’s basketball players Ta’Niya Latson and Makayla Timpson were named to the 10-player list that was voted on by the Blue Ribbon Panel.

Latson received the second-highest total of first place votes. Both players also earned the recognition in 2023-24. In addition to FSU, Notre Dame and NC State had multiple student-athletes on the list.

Florida State was also predicted to finish fifth in the ACC after tallying 1,335 points.

Noles Ranked 19th in Preseason AP Poll

The Associated Press released its preseason poll on Tuesday, with FSU ranked 19th. It’s the second straight season the Noles will begin the year ranked in the top 25.

Since the 2022-23 season, the Seminoles have appeared in the top 25 18 times under head coach Brooke Wyckoff, peaking at No. 12 on Nov. 13, 2023.

Single game tickets are now on sale at the FSU Ticket office. The Florida State Women’s Basketball Tipoff event will be held on Oct. 20 from 3-5 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Dunlap Champions Club. Tickets are available for purchase.
