Frances Tiafoe withdraws from All-American Team Cup after positive coronavirus test
American Frances Tiafoe is the latest tennis player to test positive for coronavirus. The 22-year-old Tiafoe revealed his positive test on Twitter on Saturday, and said he would pull out of the All-American Team Cup as a result.
Tiafoe said he’s been training in Florida, but had passed coronavirus tests as recently as last week.
Unfortunately, I tested positive late Friday for Covid-19 and have to withdraw from the All-American Team Cup special event in Atlanta this weekend. Over the past two months, I have been training in Florida and tested negative there as recently as a week ago pic.twitter.com/DeqR3eBxQo

He added that he will get tested again next week, and is currently quarantining in Georgia — where the All-American Team Cup is taking place.
Tiafoe’s positive test marks yet another in the sport. Novak Djokovic, his wife Jelena, and Grigor Dimitrov all tested positive for coronavirus following the Adria Tour. The event was canceled following Dimitrov’s positive test.
Tiafoe is ranked 81st on the ATP’s men’s tennis list.
