Four-star WR CJ Wiley commits to Georgia
Kirby Smart and company gained a huge commitment from four-star CJ Wiley committed to Georgia football this evening. Wiley fills a huge recruiting need for the Bulldogs to help strengthen the future of the wide receiver position.
Wiley is a huge in-state target that this Georgia staff could not miss. Wiley has been on the Bulldogs' radar since popping off his junior year accumulating 68 receptions, 1,473 yards, and 14 touchdowns.
Wiley was previously committed to Florida State since June but decommitted in October.
Wiley is ranked as the 80th recruit in nation while being the No. 12 receiver and the No. 10 prospect in Georgia, per On3.
With Wiley committing the tide has turned on Georgia getting elite talent at the receiver position. To go along with Talyn Taylor, Wiley offers a play style as a big body receiver is something that the Bulldogs' receiver room has not seen much of since Lawrence Cager left.
If there's one knock on recruiting for Georgia recently it is that ability to get elite talent at the receiver.
One thing that is an underrated skill that Wiley possess is his concentration to bring in those contested catches and his speed. Wiley has been used in Milton High School's offense as a deep threat and as the alpha receiver.
With Wiley's commitment Georgia now moves into the top three in the 2025 ranks nationally overtaking LSU in the third spot.
