Four-star defensive line recruit Christian Garrett decommitted from the Georgia Bulldogs. Garrett had been committed to Georgia for just over two months. He originally committed to the Bulldogs on June 9.

Garrett's decommitment is a blow for Georgia. Garrett was Georgia's highest-ranked defensive line commitment. Georgia's other two defensive line commitments are both rated as three-star recruits.

The four-star's decommitment drops Georgia to the No. 4 recruiting class in the country. LSU passed Georgia as a result of Garrett's decommitment.

Garrett is ranked as 138th player in the 2025 recruiting cycle and plays high school football for Prince Avenue Christian in Bogart, Georgia. Christian Garrett ranks as the No. 17 defensive lineman and No. 17 prospect in Georgia, per 247Sports.

Garrett is also considering Clemson, Tennessee, Georgia Tech and Alabama. The 6-foot-4, 285-pound defensive line recruit is a good student with a 3.9 GPA, per his X account. Garrett competes in track and field in addition to football.

Garrett went on official visits to Clemson, Georgia Tech, Georgia and Tennessee over the summer. However, Georgia Tech is considered the top contender to land Garrett.
