Four cited after allegedly painting Utah logos on BYU's cougar statue
If you’re going to be dumb enough to do some vandalization at your rival’s school, don’t get literally caught red-handed.
Four people were cited Saturday morning after the cougar statue in front of BYU’s stadium had Utah’s red U logos painted on it.

Lt. Steven Messick of the Brigham Young University police department told the Deseret News that around 4:50 a.m., a student called police and reported seeing people painting the cougar statue, which sits on the southwest corner outside of the stadium.
Messick said officers responded and located the suspects in a vehicle with red paint on their hands. The suspects admitted to vandalizing the statue, were cited for criminal mischief and released.
BYU staff immediately got to work cleaning the statue up, and as you can see from this tweet by BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe, it was looking good by the middle of the day:

When the two sides played Saturday night, Utah edged the Cougars, 19-13, to win its seventh straight in the series. Utah leads the series known as the Holy War 60–34–4.
