Former Wild Forward Won't Play Against Minnesota Tonight
ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild host the Toronto Maple Leafs for a 5:00 p.m game tonight. The Maple Leafs have a few Wild connections.
Dakota Mermis, who spent the last four seasons with the Wild, is currently injured and won't play tonight. He played 47 games for the Wild last year and signed a one-year contract with the Leafs on July 2.
Ryan Reaves spent one season with the Wild in 2022-23. He played 61 games for Minnesota that year and signed a three-year deal with the Leafs after the 2022-23 season ended.
Connor Dewar played three years with the Wild before he was traded to the Maple Leafs for Dmitry Ovchinnikov and a 4th-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft in March of last year.
He has not played a game this season and is currently on a conditioning loan in the American Hockey League with the Toronto Marlies.
