Former Ohio State WR Chris Olave arrested for reckless operation of motor vehicle, per report
Former Ohio State and current New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave was arrested Monday for reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
According to a report by NewOrleans.Football, Olave was "clocked going 70 in a 35" in Kenner, Louisiana. He "did not resist and was cooperative with law enforcement.
ESPN reported Olave was driving a Dodge Charger "at a high rate of speed, recklessly maneuvering between lanes and around other drivers on the roadway."
Olave was booked and later released at 11:30 p.m. Monday night.
A social media post by Josh Olave, Chris' brother, Monday night said Chris "was on his way back to the crib from CVS," calling it nothing serious.

Chris Olave was selected with the 11th overall pick of the Saints in 2022. Through seven games in 2023, Olave had 39 catches on 68 targets for 471 receiving yards and one touchdown.
With Ohio State, Olave set a school record with 35 receiving touchdowns — fourth-most in Big Ten history — while ranking top-five in school history with 176 receptions and 2,711 receiving yards.
Olave and the Saints take on the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium 1 p.m. Sunday.
