Former Ohio State CB Jeff Okudah traded from Detroit Lions to Atlanta Falcons, per report

Former Ohio State cornerback Jeff Okudah is heading to Atlanta.

A former third-overall pick by the Detroit Lions in the 2020 NFL draft, Okudah is being traded to the Atlanta Falcons for a 2023 fifth-round draft pick per ESPN's Field Yates and Adam Schefter.

Coming into Ohio State as the No. 1 cornerback and No. 8 player in the 2017 recruiting class, Okudah finished his college career with 83 tackles, three interceptions and 18 pass deflections. He was named as a consensus All-American in 2019.

Okudah was one of three first-round draft picks from Ohio State in the 2020 draft along with defensive end Chase Young and cornerback Damon Arnette.

In three seasons with the Lions, Okudah recorded 124 tackles, 10 pass deflections and two interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown. Okudah started 22 of 25 games for the Lions from 2020-22.

Long snapper Liam McCullough was the only Ohio State player on the Atlanta Falcons roster in 2022.
