Texas A&M and head coach Mike Elko have landed their fourth player out of the transfer portal, as former Louisiana Tech wide receiver Cyrus Allen has committed to the Aggies after spending his last two seasons in the Bayou.

Joining former Old Dominion WR Javon Harvey, Allen, who has accumulated 68 receptions, 1,278 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns since the start of the 2022 season, is dripping with potential in new OC Collin Klein’s speed-centric offense in 2024.

Allen’s commitment couldn’t have come at a better time after Sunday morning’s news that former South Alabama WR Caullin Lacy would transfer to Louisville after many believed that he would favorite to land in College Station. However, with two years of collegiate eligibility remaining, Allen, who stands at 6’0″ and 180 pounds, possesses the needed receiving traits to contribute as soon as next season.

Starting wide receivers Evan Stewart, Moose Muhammad III, Noah Thomas, and Jahdae Walker are expected to return, providing Allen an opportunity to help replace the production lost due to Ainias Smith’s departure to the 2024 NFL Draft. Allen is coming off his best season yet, recording 46 receptions for 778 yards and four touchdowns through the air.
