Florida State receives verbal commitment from in-state cornerback Ja'Bril Rawls
Florida State continues to benefit from its Seminole Showcase last weekend.
Another recruit who attended that event, three-star cornerback Ja’Bril Rawls from Pensacola Catholic High, announced his verbal commitment to FSU.
He made the news public via Twitter.
The Seminoles landed pledges from two defensive backs who visited campus over the weekend in Rawls (2023) and CJ Heard (2024). They also added Malik Feaster, a graduate transfer cornerback from Jacksonville State. Feaster visited campus last Thursday.

Rawls took two other trips to FSU this offseason – one in January and the other in March. The Pensacola product landed a scholarship offer from the Seminoles on March 28. Mississippi State, Boston College and Washington State are among other programs that have offered him.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Rawls recorded 36 tackles, two interceptions, two pass breakups and a tackle for a loss across eight games as a junior last season. 247Sports ranks him as its No. 95 cornerback in the class. He’s unranked on Rivals and On3.
FSU’s 2023 class of 11 commits now ranks No. 18 (On3), No. 43 (247Sports) and No. 47 (Rivals) nationally on the three major recruiting services.
