He joins a room that already includes DJ Uiagalelei, Brock Glenn, Luke Kromenhoek and walk-on Michael Grant.
Jackson attended Jones High in Orlando and is the 348th-ranked player in the 2024 class, the 22nd-ranked QB and the 48th-ranked player in the state, per 247Sports Composite Rankings.
The 6-foot-2.5, 185-pound QB won the 'Rail Shot Challenge' at the prestigious Elite 11 Finals this summer before transferring to Jones High for his senior season.
Jackson, who holds 28 offers, committed to Ole Miss on Aug. 26, 2022, over Oklahoma, Texas A&M and UCLA, before reopening his commitment at the end of October.
He completed 56 of 101 passes this season for 916 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions over 14 games, per his MaxPreps page. He added 104 carries for 855 yards and 10 scores on the ground.
As a junior, completed 59.3% of his passes for 1,559 yards with 16 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also added 52 carries for 306 yards and six scores.
Uiagalelei joined the Seminoles this offseason from Oregon State via the transfer portal and Kromenhoek, like Jackson, is an incoming freshman.
The FSU QB room will look vastly different than it did in 2023 with Jordan Travis (graduation), Tate Rodemaker (transfer) and AJ Duffy (transfer) all moving on.
Only Glenn has taken snaps for the Seminoles in live game action.
