One of the most competitive and best areas in the state for track and field is the Big Bend.

Multiple state champions, record breakers and holders call the area home, and because of that, the competition all season is some of the best that can be found in the state of Florida, allowing area athletes the chance to shine at the highest level.

From three-peats, first-year dominance and a dominant display in multiple events, here are the 2024 All-Big Bend Boys Track and Field teams!

All-Big Bend Boys Track and Field Sprinter of the Year: Micahi Danzy, Sr., Florida High

Micahi Danzy is not only one of the fastest runners in the state, but in the nation, and the Florida High star showcased his talent by defending his state titles in the 200-meter and 400-meter races, alongside a second-place finish in the 100-meter and third-place finish in the long jump.

One of the area's best athletes, Danzy is off to Florida State to pursue track and football at the collegiate level. He dominated on the track this season, ranking in the top 50 in the state in all the events he competed in, including recording a 45.88 400-meter at the state championships, the second fastest time in Florida, and sixth fastest in the nation.

For his continued dominance on the track in multiple events, Florida High's Micahi Danzy is the 2024 All-Big Bend Boys Sprinter of the Year!

All-Big Bend Boys Track and Field Distance Runner of the Year: Patrick Koon, Sr., Leon

For the third straight year, Leon's Patrick Koon stood atop the podium at the end of the 3200-meter state championship race, smashing his own meet record in the process.

Posting an 8:56.92 in the state final, Koon bested his time last season by two seconds and won his third straight gold medal in the event. Adding onto his first-place finish in the 3200, Koon placed second in the 1600-meter race to claim a gold and silver double in Jacksonville. Heading to Stanford to continue his track and cross country career, Koon cemented himself as one of the best runners in Florida history in his senior season.

For his excellence on the track this season, Leon's Patrick Koon has earned the 2024 All-Big Bend Distance Runner of the Year honor!

All-Big Bend Boys Track and Field Field Athlete of the Year: Bryce Davis, Sr., Leon

Leon's Bryce Davis only competed in track and field for one year during his high school career, but in his senior season, he showed his incredible talent, winning a state championship in shot put and taking home silver in discus, marking one of the best debut campaigns in the area on the field.

In shot put, Davis won all but one event he competed in, placing second in the FSU Relays, and he ranked second in the state for his shot put at 17.88 at the event. In the discus, Davis held the 10th-ranked throw with his personal best 52.1-meter throw at the state championships shooting him up the state rankings. Davis will head across the country to Eastern Washington for college.

For his dominant first year of competition, Leon's Bryce Davis has earned the title of 2024 All-Big Bend Field Athlete of the Year!

All-Big Bend Boys Track and Field Coach of the Year: Mike Acree, Florida High

For the second straight season, Florida High head coach Mike Acree showed his team's ability to compete across all events during the track and field season. Seeing two individuals claim state championships, Danzy and 3A discus champion Isaiah Farmer, Acree's Seminoles finished second place at the 2A State meet, the highest of any program in the area.

For his excellence in coaching and leading his team to a second-place state finish, Florida High's Mike Acree has been named the 2024 All-Big Bend Boys Track and Field Coach of the Year!
