It's time to turn to our Fantasy game changers for this week powered by Ram Trucks where we're identifying some of the most impactful players in one of the top Fantasy matchups on the schedule.
You guessed it.
We've made it this far in.
I cannot believe we haven't mentioned this game yet.
Buffalo, Kansas City, the game is in Buffalo, 5050 degrees with the chance of showers which frankly, at this time of year is very lucky weather.
The bills with two losses favored by 2.5.
The over on this on this six surprised me a little bit.
And when we talk fantasy game changers, gentlemen, I'm going to use this yet again to say haa, I was right about deandre Hopkins every single week.
I keep telling you it's not just the targets, but by the way, not only is he getting the targets, he's also catching the targets.
It's what it's doing to the depth of offense.
It's really gonna be significant here every single week.
We're seeing a little bit more depth than the routes for deandre Hopkins.
We're seeing a little bit more trust with Patrick Mahomes and frankly, the Chiefs have the receiver, it's only going to get continue and if they're going to win games, which they're going to, they're going to need deandre Hopkins to be big also.
What do we see?
We finally have seen.
Ok, this offense may have games where they need to score points.
This is going to be one of those Buffalo can get after this defense.
No, even though the Chiefs defense is great, that means Hopkins is gonna have to have a big, big game.
I believe the Bills will be keyed on, on Travis Kelsey as they should be.
That creates opportunity for Hopkins.
He is a fantasy game changer for me, Andy Barron.
Who do you got?
Yeah, I want to talk about Khalil Shakir who has just been unreasonably good this season uh for a team that desperately needs someone in the receiving room to provide consistency and reliability.
He has caught 48 of his 54 targets so far this year, which is 89%.
That's an outrageous rate for a wide receiver.
Shakira is averaging 8.5 yards after catch per recess, one of the best in the league and he's forced a league high 15 missed tackles on his receptions hasn't yet dropped a pass.
He's among the leaders in yards per route run.
Basically, he's having the same hyper efficient season that he gave us last year, but he's doing it on much greater volume in a week without Keon Coleman and with Dalton Kincaid dealing with a knee issue, Shakir is going to be desperately in this one.
Shakir has been Josh Allen's leading receiver through the 1st 10 games of the season.
A huge problem for opposing defenses and Kansas City has been pretty vulnerable to slot receivers so far as well.
Uh, Shakir came up big the last time Buffalo and Kansas City met in the playoffs last year, caught seven balls scored a go ahead touchdown.
He was a game changer then and he can be a game changer this week.
All right.
So give us your game changer in this one.
I'll stay in the bills wide receive room and it's Amari Cooper assuming that we see him the latest report to that.
Amari Cooper is expected to play this week.
He hasn't played in the last two games with that wrist injury and really, we haven't gotten the full go, the full experience of Amari and Buffalo his first game there.
He's only playing 12 routes, only playing a couple of snaps and he gets hurt in the next game and we haven't seen him since, but this bill's offense desperately needs Amari Cooper and his ability to win in the inter intermediate to deep parts of the field.
They don't have Keon Coleman who's also dealing with the wrist injury.
Dalton Kincaid is banged up the middle of the field downfield.
Now, that's kind of out of question, Josh Allen is coming off of a game where he didn't complete 60% of his passes.
They have Kaliko who, as Andy mentioned has been phenomenal this year, but he operates in the short areas of the field.
Defenses are not concerned about the bills throwing downfield.
And we've seen that the last two weeks, they're stacking the box against James Cook.
It's leading to more inefficient running days for him.
I think Amari Cooper who's expected to return opens things up not only for himself downfield and we can see a nice connection with Josh Allen finally, but he opens up the rest of the offense in the running game and that's desperately what the bills need if they want to win this game.
I think Amari Cooper's presence is a fantasy game changer.
