The Atlanta Falcons have plenty of sizzle on offense but they needed some seasoning to reach their potential. Enter veteran quarterback/corny dad Kirk Cousins. The team signed the former Vikings QB to a four-year, $180 million contract during the offseason.

The 35-year-old is expected to lead Atlanta to the playoffs for the first time since 2017, but for now, he's simply trying to build chemistry with his teammates. While Cousins doesn't have much in common with the Falcons' young playmakers, he knows what it takes to succeed in the NFL.

Thus far, Cousins' teammates are following his lead. Atlanta's new QB1 was "mic'd up" during Monday's practice. Watch the full clip below, as shared by the team's YouTube channel:

Since entering the league as a fourth-round pick in 2012, Cousins has passed for 270 touchdowns and nearly 40,000 passing yards. Despite posting a record of 78-70-2 over his 12 NFL seasons, Cousins has gone just 1-4 in the playoffs for his career.
