Falcons safety DeMarcco Hellams carted off the field in 1st quarter
Atlanta Falcons safety DeMarcco Hellams had to be carted off the field in the first quarter of Friday's preseason matchup against the Miami Dolphins after suffering a lower leg injury. Hellams, who is coming off a promising rookie season, got the start at strong safety on Friday night.
Just moments after the game began, Hellams' season appears to be in jeopardy. The second-year safety was spotted wearing an air cast on his left leg. Check back for an injury update after Friday's game.
