Falcons trade Julio Jones to Titans for draft picks
The Tennessee Titans might have the best wide receiver duo in the NFL. The team made a huge splash Sunday, acquiring All-Pro wideout Julio Jones from the Atlanta Falcons.
The Falcons announced the news Sunday, revealing the team will receive a second and a fourth-round pick for Jones. The Falcons will send back a sixth-round pick in 2023.
We have agreed to terms to trade Julio Jones to the Tennessee Titans for a compensation package that includes a 2022 second-round pick.

The deal was initially reported by ESPN's Dianna Russini, who said the trade was expected to be completed within 24-48 hours.
Jones, 32, has been one of the best receivers in football over the past decade. He's made seven Pro Bowls and been named to two All-Pro teams over his career. Jones was limited to just 9 games last season, catching 51 passes for 771 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Julio Jones and A.J. Brown give Titans massive weapons
With the move, the Titans have to be viewed as a strong Super Bowl contender. The team already boasts A.J. Brown, who has emerged as a big-time playmaker in two seasons in the NFL. Few defenses will have the talent to shutdown both Brown and Jones every Sunday, giving the Titans two massive weapons.
Brown was extremely pleased with the move, telling opposing general managers they messed up by letting the Titans acquire Jones, though Brown used stronger language.

On top of that, the team still has Derrick Henry, who has led the NFL in rushing yards in each of the past two seasons. After getting 378 carries last year, Henry might be able to rest a bit more with defenses focusing on the team's receivers, and Jones demanding attention from quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
Oddsmakers at BetMGM list the Titans at +1200 to win the AFC following the trade. Despite the trade for Jones, the Titans are listed behind the Kansas City Chiefs (+210), the Buffalo Bills (+750), the Baltimore Ravens (+750) and the Cleveland Browns (+750) to win the conference.
