After two weeks of training camp, the Atlanta Falcons are ready to line up against a different opponent and truly test their preparation ahead of the season. The Falcons will face off against the Dolphins during two joint practices before Friday's preseason matchup in Miami.

“I’m excited to go watch those guys perform and go out there and do their best self, and the best version of this thing," Head coach Raheem Morris told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. With the two teams matching up, there are some interesting position battles to watch.

The most notable would be the Falcons pass-catchers going up against the Miami's secondary. Thus far in training camp, we've seen highlights of Drake London, Kyle Pitts, and others outshine Atlanta's defenders. How will they fare against an actual opponent?

This also shines a light on the quarterback spot with Kirk Cousins and Michael Penix. When these two teams practiced last year, Desmond Ridder was still the Falcons quarterback and wasn't quite ready to be the starter. Now the team has two quality quarterbacks to test Miami's defense.

Perhaps even more interesting will be to see how Dolphins receivers match up against Atlanta's secondary, which has struggled throughout camp thus far. Miami has multiple playmakers, including Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and, former Falcons tight end Jonnu Smith.

In all likelihood, these joint practices will feature more starters than the actual game on Friday, so expect the intensity to be high this week in Miami.
