Falcons met with 3 cornerbacks at scouting combine, per report

The quarterback position is all anyone is talking about in Atlanta, and while that’s obviously a priority for general manager Terry Fontenot and head coach Raheem Morris, the Falcons have plenty of other needs they need to address this offseason.

The cornerback position is one area where there is some uncertainty. A.J. Terrell’s long-term future is still up in the air and Jeff Okudah is set to hit free agency in a couple of weeks.

The Falcons met with three cornerback prospects at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, according to Justin Melo of the Draft Network and SI’s Daniel Flick.

Atlanta hosted Missouri cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine on a formal meeting, according to Melo. Abrams-Draine had a stellar season in 2023 for the Tigers, finishing with four interceptions and allowing a passer rating of 54.7. He’s currently ranked as the 94th overall prospect on the Pro Football Focus big board.

The Falcons also formally interviewed Clemson cornerback Nate Wiggins and Georgia’s Kamari Lassiter. Wiggins is a projected first-round pick who’s currently ranked No. 9 on PFF’s big board.

Lassiter is considered a day-two prospect with excellent upside coming out of Georgia.
