New Falcons DC Jimmy Lake was mic'd up at practice

Whenever a new head coach or coordinator joins a team, there's always going to be an adjustment period. On top of installing systems and evaluating talent, they must also develop relationships with their players.

When the Atlanta Falcons hired defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake, the fans knew little about the former head coach of the Washington Huskies and Rams assistant head coach in 2023.

Falcons head coach Raheem Morris spoke highly of Lake, whom he worked with in Los Angeles and Tampa Bay. Considering Morris' extensive defensive background, his stamp of approval should carry some weight.

Still, fans haven't seen much of the team this year due to construction in Flowery Branch. Fortunately, the social media team released a video of Atlanta's new defensive coordinator "mic'd up" at practice. Check out the video of the Lake below:
