'F--- Trump' heard yelled in tunnel as Alabama approached field before CFP title game
A College Football Playoff National Championship featuring a pair of powerhouse SEC rivals playing in Atlanta already had plenty of attention on its own.
But then President Donald Trump decided to make an appearance on Monday, presumably playing to his base in the Deep South states of Alabama and Georgia.
Needless to say, his appearance was not without controversy, drawing protests, long lines outside Mercedes-Benz Stadium and a mix of boos and cheers upon arrival.

Players noticed his appearance too, with somebody screaming “F– Trump’ in the Alabama tunnel as the Crimson Tide walked to take the field for opening kickoff.

Whomever said it isn’t discernible in the video, but it’s safe to say that his sentiment is shared by several players who have watched the national anthem controversy play out in the NFL or generally just don’t like Trump’s politics.
The quote was attributed to Alabama running back Bo Scarbrough by some outlets, and he responded with this tweet after the Tide completed a stunning 26-23 win to beat Georgia.
If y’all really listen I said Georgia smh about y’all people in this world https://t.co/VXKFBk7Vnh

As for the national anthem, Trump appeared to have some trouble of his own with it ahead of the game.
