Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has been officially ruled out of their game on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams with a fractured vertebra, the team announced on Saturday morning.

Wentz had initially been listed as questionable before he was downgraded to doubtful on Friday afternoon. He could miss the rest of the season with the injury, especially if the Eagles are eliminated from the playoff race. Nick Foles will likely take over in Wentz’ absence.

Wentz has played in 11 games for the Eagles this season. The 25-year-old has thrown for 3,074 yards and 21 touchdowns, completing 69 percent of his passes while helping lead the Eagles to a 6-7 record.

Foles has played in two games for the Eagles this season, and has thrown 54-of-82 for 451 yards and one touchdown through the air.
