Drew Bobo, son of former Georgia football OC and QB Mike Bobo, commits to the Bulldogs
It was only a matter of time until Drew Bobo committed to his dream school.
A few weeks after his father, Mike Bobo, was let go as Auburn's offensive coordinator, Bobo de-committed from Auburn and committed to Georgia.
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive tackle committed to Auburn in October over Georgia, Georgia Tech and Kentucky. He was an instrumental member of Auburn High School's state championship-winning team on the offensive line.
Following Auburn University's overtime loss in the Iron Bowl, Mike was let go after one season on the Plains. In 2020, Mike served as offensive coordinator at South Carolina after spending five seasons as Colorado State's head coach. Prior to leading the Rams, he was on UGA's coaching staff from 2001-2014.
Mike threw for more than 6,000 yards in his playing career at Georgia and was teammates with Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart. Now Bobo's son has the opportunity to continue the family success in Athens.
