Draymond Green reveals emotional meeting with Steve Kerr

Draymond Green has revealed he had an emotional meeting with Steve Kerr following his indefinite suspension from the NBA. The veteran forward discussed the meeting during a recent episode of his “The Draymond Green Show” podcast. He noted how both he and Kerr cried during the conversation, which took place after a Warriors shootaround.

During the segment from his podcast, Green noted his relationship with Kerr and how their bond has grown throughout their tenure together on the Warriors. Green’s comments come ahead of his impending return to the rotation after missing the past 14 games following his altercation with Jusuf Nurkic.

“Coach Kerr came to visit me after shootaround,” Green said. “We sat in the yard. He cried, I cried. Because there’s a bond there, that we’ve seen it all. We’ve seen the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. He said to me, ‘I want you to end this the right way. I want us to end this the right way. And you’re not doing that right.'”

Green’s return could act as a catalyst for the Warriors roster. His presence within the rotation will likely elevate the defensive efforts, while his leadership will ensure the late-game collapses we’ve seen this season become few and far between.

Still, Golden State has a lot of work to do if they’re going to turn their season around. Having Green back on the floor is a great first step, but now they’ve got to begin executing on the court and developing an identity.
