Dolphins, Tyreek Hill agree to $120 million extension
The Miami Dolphins struck a blockbuster trade on Wednesday, agreeing to acquire Tyreek Hill from the Kansas City Chiefs for five draft picks – including their first- and second-rounders this year. That was just the first step, however.
The Dolphins then gave Hill a massive contract extension, making him one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, it’s a four-year deal worth $120 million, and it includes $72.2 million guaranteed.
Hill was in the final year of his contract and was seeking a new deal from the Chiefs, which is what led to the trade in the first place.

The $72.2 million will become guaranteed at the start of the 2023 league year next March, per Schefter, but once Hill puts pen to paper and signs his contract, he’ll get $52.535 million fully guaranteed.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Network notes that in the first three years, Hill will get $75 million but is under contract through the 2025 season.
The #Dolphins are signing Tyreek Hill to a three-year, $75 million extension as part of the trade from the #Chiefs, per source. So he's now under contract through the 2025 season at $23.8M per year overall.
By most metrics, the NFL's new highest-paid receiver.
