Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa looks slender, slim and strong. Here's how he feels about it.
MIAMI GARDENS - Tyreek Hill pulled no punches about Tua Tagovailoa's dramatic weight loss.
"I’m not gonna lie," Hill wise-cracked Tuesday. "When I saw Tua at the Pro Bowl, I was kind of scared. He was fat as *hit."
Hill noted Tua looks great now, on and off the field.
"Ozempic?" Hill chuckled.
Tagovailoa won't say how much he's lost.
Fifteen? Twenty? Twenty-five pounds?
"Diet and exercise," Tua said, adding he's cut out sugars.
How much weight has Tua Tagovailoa lost?
After last season, coach Mike McDaniel said he thought Tua could buy himself some extra time and extend plays.
"I feel better," Tua said. "Quicker on my feet. More nimble. I can extend plays more."
Tua looked sharp in 7-on-7 drills. He's skipping 11-on-11 practice while his contract extension discussions with Miami continue.
Tua has a new personal quarterback coach, John Beck. And on Tuesday, Tua said he's been focused on getting his hips more involved.

"Rubber-band theory," Tua said.

Teammates are not shy to note how great Tua looks, physically.
"I told him I miss chubby Tua," Jaylen Waddle laughed. "I'm not gonna lie."
