How does Pascal Siakam’s trade affect the Celtics?

Pascal Siakam was traded to the Indiana Pacers on this past Wednesday (Jan. 17) The deal occurred shortly after the Boston Celtics had defeated the Toronto Raptors. By trading for Siakam, the Celtics now have another ball club to watch in the Eastern Conference. The Pacers are slowly forming a legitimate team that could develop into a contender in the near future.

In a recent episode of the “Green With Envy” podcast, Adam Taylor and Will Weir discussed the Pacer’s decision to roll the dice on Siakam and how that could potentially impact the Celtics during the postseason and beyond.

When facing Indiana, Boston will now need to deal with Tyrese Haliburton’s elite playmaking, Myles Turner’s floor spacing, and Siakam’s overall offensive ability. Adam and Will dissect the different ways Boston can limit the Pacers and whether they’re more of a threat than the Miami Heat and New York Knicks.
