Doc Rivers discusses his time with the Celtics

Doc Rivers was the last coach to lead the Boston Celtics to a championship. The 2008 roster is legendary to Celtics fans and is often used as a measuring stick for the current iteration of the team that’s currently leading the NBA in terms of record and has the deepest roster in the league.

However, since leaving Boston, Rivers has been unable to recapture the success that he enjoyed with Boston. He had an unsuccessful spell with the Los Angeles Clippers before moving to the Philadelphia 76ers, where his old team consistently stood in his way and limited his team’s ability to make deep postseason runs.

In a recent episode of the “KG Certified” podcast hosted by 2008 champions Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, Rivers joins the show as a guest and gives a wide-ranging interview.
