How did OU baseball take over first place in Big 12? Hot-hitting Bryce Madron a big reason

NORMAN — Head coach Skip Johnson and OU baseball are on a roll to begin Big 12 play.

Following a sweep of conference newcomer UCF, the Sooners took their brooms out again last weekend, sweeping then-No. 12 TCU over three games in Fort Worth, Texas.

Oklahoma is 6-0 in the Big 12 and alone atop the conference standings. Who would’ve thought?

OU felt the love nationally, debuting at No. 17 in D1baseball’s top 25 poll, No. 14 by Baseball America, No. 18 in Perfect Game and No. 20 in the USA Today Baseball Coaches Poll on Monday.
