Did Lionel Messi make the trip to Columbus despite being ruled out for MLS All-Star Game?

Lionel Messi has been ruled out for the MLS All-Star Game at Lower.com Field on Wednesday, and the Inter Miami star has seemingly skipped the trip to Columbus.

Messi was supposed to make his debut in Columbus at the All-Star game, but a ligament injury in his right ankle took him off the MLS roster and pushed his first match at Lower.com Field back until at least Oct. 2, when the Crew face Miami. There is a possibility the Crew and Miami have a meeting the round of 16 of the Leagues Cup tournament, which would be between Aug. 12-13.

On Instagram, Messi and his wife Antonela Roccuzzo posted pictures enjoying the All-Star break on a boat with Miami teammate Luis Suarez, who was also removed from the All-Star roster due to a knee injury. It has yet to be confirmed that he will be absent from every All-Star event in Columbus this weekend.
