President of baseball operations Scott Harris and his front office, along with manager A.J. Hinch, have a plethora of options to target and owner Chris Ilitch has bountiful money to spend if he chooses.
Among the potential free agent fits include third baseman Alex Bregman and pitcher Corbin Burnes, and the Tigers have enough to take a swing at the first base trade market.
The Tigers were the feel-good story of this past season, with a remarkable 31-11 record down the stretch to make the playoffs for the first time in a decade. But they need help both in the lineup and at starting pitcher.

The Tigers have a projected payroll of around $80 million, meaning they have plenty of room to spend big.
