Detroit Tigers get spotlight, will play Opening Day on ESPN for first time since 2011
The Detroit Tigers will open the 2025 season in front of a national audience.
The Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers are set to play on Opening Day — March 27 — at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, with the game televised on ESPN. First pitch is scheduled for approximately 7 p.m. ET., but the exact game time has not been determined.
It's the first time the Tigers have been on ESPN for Opening Day since 2011, and just the second time since 1992.
