Detroit Tigers playoff watch party at Comerica Park: How to buy tickets

The Detroit Tigers are going all out for fans to celebrate their first MLB playoff appearance in 10 years.

The team will be on the road in the best-of-three American League wild-card series, but will host a "Tigers in the Wild" watch party for fans at Comerica Park.

The Tigers (86-76) on Tuesday play the Houston Astros (88-73) at 2:32 p.m. (ABC) at Minute Maid Park in Game 1 of the playoffs, but fans back home in Detroit can watch the game in their home ballpark for $5.

How to buy Tigers playoff watch party tickets at Comerica Park

Here's what the Tigers' website says about the watch party Tuesday for Game 1 of the playoffs:

  • Tickets are $5; a portion of the proceeds benefit the Detroit Tigers Foundation.

  • Free entry for children 14 and under (accompanied by a guardian).

  • Free Little Caesars Pizza and Pepsi products to the first 500 fans.

  • Free "Tigers in the Wild" T-shirt (while supplies last).

  • Gate will be open at the Rocket Mortgage Entry (corner of Adams and Witherell St., off Grand Circus Park).

Tigers playoff tickets: How to buy seats for ALDS at Comerica Park

The Tigers must advance to the American League Division Series to secure a home playoff game.

But on Wednesday, before Game 2 of the wild-card series, tickets will still go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. for Games 3-4 of the best-of-five ALDS at Comerica Park.

Fans can get early access to potential home playoff tickets by joining the 1901 Society for season tickets or placing a 2025 group deposit.

Game 1 of the ALDS is Saturday in Cleveland, with Game 2 on Monday, Oct. 7. Game 3 at Comerica Park would be Wednesday, Oct. 9; a potential Game 4 at Comerica Park would be Thursday, Oct. 10.
