Detroit Pistons make trade with 76ers for Danuel House, 2024 second-round pick

The Detroit Pistons have made another move ahead of Thursday's 3 p.m. NBA trade deadline 2024.

The Pistons have made a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers for Danuel House Jr. and a 2024 second-round pick via the New York Knicks in exchange for a heavily protected 2028 second-round pick (31-55) that's unlikely to convey.

The Athletic's Shams Charania reports that the Pistons will release House. The team officially announced the move about 40 minutes before the 3 p.m. trade deadline.

House is a longtime NBA veteran with nearly 300 games of experience. He's averaging 4.2 points, and 1.7 rebounds while shooting just 30% on 3-pointers this year with the 76ers.

The move will take the Pistons to 17 active members on the roster, so expect more corresponding moves to get to the maximum 15 players.

This is reportedly the third move the Pistons have made in the last 24 hours. On Wednesday, the Pistons made the first move of deadline week by acquiring forward Simone Fontecchio from the Utah Jazz. A few hours later, they dealt Monte Morris to Minnesota for two players and a 2030 second-round pick.
