Detroit Lions shock NFL world with win over Kansas City Chiefs; players, fans react
The Detroit Lions are 1-0 after knocking off the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Yes, you read that correctly. For a moment, the Lions sit atop the NFL world after toppling Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs 21-20 on national television. With a captive audience, the Lions proved the offseason hype was justified.
The Lions grinded out the victory thanks to two second-half touchdowns from new faces: rookie defensive back Brian Branch and free agent running back David Montgomery, who scored the game-winning touchdown with seven minutes left. Here's how Detroit and the rest of the sports world reacted to the Lions' monumental week 1 victory.

This Gibbs, Montgomery combo is gonna be DANGEROUS. Gibbs is explosive as heck and will continue to get better as the game slows down for him. Watching Montgomery make the correct reads, and fight for tough yards will allow Gibbs to grow week to week. BTW LIONS LEAD THE DIVISION
