Detroit Lions set to debut revamped black uniforms on Monday Night Football

The Detroit Lions hinted Monday they will be wearing their new black and blue uniforms for Monday Night Football against the Seattle Seahawks.

The announcement all but confirmed the alternate uniforms will make their debut this week.

"It's on" the team's official X account posted Monday with a photo of the black uniform behind a shadow. The Lions introduced the black alternate uniform in 2005 and last wore it in 2007, but released a revamped version this offseason.

The Lions came out with a whole new set of uniforms this year, which included the black alternate set with blue lettering.

The Lions host the undefeated Seahawks in primetime in Week 4 of the NFL season on Monday night.

This is the fourth straight season the Lions and Seahawks will meet, with Seattle holding a 3-0 record since Dan Campbell has taken over the helm. Previous games were high-scoring affairs, including wins at Ford Field in back-to-back seasons, each in Week 2.
